Dromore Community Festival Sports Night
Dromore Community Festival got under way with a Sports Night at Dromore Community Centre. Dromore Athletics Club organised a Children’s Sports Event and Timothy McCracken was the 2011 winner of the Dromore Civic Week Best Over All Athlete. He received his award from Jackie Delaney , one of Dromore Athletics Club’s founding members.Next up was the mixed netball tournament, organised by Dromore Ladies Netball Club. A large turn out of teams and supporters made this a very enjoyable and successful event.
As it happened, Dromore Amateurs Ladies Football Club was playing Donegal Celtic in a league game, also at Dromore Community Centre. Before the game the team was presented with a new kit, sponsored by JR Magill Cycles, Dromore.
Dromore Community Festival is organised by local volunteers, supported by Dromore in Action.
